Charlotta Extreme 2018 – Day 2

Drugi dzień wyścigu to była już inna jazda. Mniej spektakularnych przeszkód (aczkolwiek też ich było sporo) a więcej jady przez błoto, las, pole i błoto. I tak przez trzy godziny – “twardym trza być, a nie miętkim!” jak to kolega kiedyś ładnie ujął. Szkoda, że  z przyczyn technicznych wyścig się troszkę wcześniej skończył, ale i tak było super. Gratulacje zwycięzcom i wszystkim uczestnikom, szacunek i wielkie dzięki organizatorom, oby tak dalej!

The second day was a different kind of racing. Less of these crazy obstacles (do not worry, they were still there) and more of mud, forest, fields and mud. Three hours racing like dad. Let me just put it this way, enduro races are not easy to endure. Bit of a pity that, due to technical issue, the race ended earlier, nevertheless it was great all the same. Congratulations to both winners and all participants, thanks and respect to organizers, keep it up!

Charlotta Extreme 2018 – Day 1

Po treningu przyszedł czas na wyścig. Jak ich tak wszystkich prawie jednocześnie wpuszczą na tor to ciężko ogarnąć, co się dzieję. Tam ktoś skacze, tu ktoś ląduje, gdzieś się ktoś wywraca, następny w niego wjeżdża… “A Wy sobie tak krzywdy nie zrobicie?!”, “To nie piłka nożna!” odpowiadają. Hehe, proste.

After the training came time for competition. When they let everybody on the track it becomes difficult to figure out what is happening. Here someone’s jumping, there landing, elsewhere someone’s falling, another riding straight into him… “Aren’t you gonna hurt yourself somehow?!”, “This is not football!” they answer. Simple as that 🙂

 

Charlotta Extreme 2018 – warm up

W piątek przed zawodami wpuszczono na tor kilku fachowców celem go przetestowania. Pewnie chcieli sprawdzić, czy nie za trudny dla amatorów 😉 W ich wykonaniu wydaje się to wszystko takie łatwiótkie. Prawda jest natomiast taka, że na tę rurę samemu nawet trudno wejść, co dopiero ze sporym motorem. Ale udało się wspiąć i szerokim obiektywem jaką focię ustrzelić 🙂

On Friday before the competition they let a few pros on the track to test it. I reckon they needed to check whether it was not too difficult for amateurs 😉 In their hands (or wheels) it all seems like a stroll in the park. Mind you, it’s not. The pipe is difficult to climb on your own, let alone together with a motorbike. But I managed to climb it and with wide angle take a photo or two 🙂

Charlotta Extreme 2018 – the beach

Działo się. Prawie trzystu zawodników stanęło w szranki, przede wszystkim z samym  sobą, na Charlotta Extreme Enduro 2018. Dwa dni śmigania na plaży, skakania przez przedziwne przeszkody w porcie, a drugiego dnia na przełaj przez las. Pogoda dopisała – w nocy intesywnie podlała tor a w dzień zapewniła ciepełko i słoneczko. Zapraszam na pierwszą relację, z plaży.

One could not be bored. Nearly three hundred participants took up the challenge, mostly with themselves, on Charlotta Extreme Enduro 2018. Two days of racing on the beach, jumping over odd obstacles, and through the forest on the second day. The weather was great – it watered the track generously at night and then provided sun and warmth during the day. Here is the first report, from the beach.
