Caminito Del Rey

Ogólnie rzecz biorąc to fajnie – niech sobie zarobią, niech więcej ludzi to cudo zobaczy. Ale, kurde, chciałem się przejść oryginalnym szlakiem!

W każdym razie, i tak super miejsce. Widoczki nieziemskie, co rusz widać resztki starego szlaku. Klimacik jest. Polecam!

I was travelling there in my thoughts for a few years now. I saw online some crazy chap doing the whole old path without a rope and dream about the place ever since. Finally I got a chance, grabbed a friend and we went. I mentioned “old” path because in the meantime they’ve built a new one. Pretty, secure, paid – commercialised in one word. In general it is good – they will make some money, more people will get to see this brilliant spot. But, damn it, I wanted to walk the original one!

Nevertheless, it is amazing anyway. Unearthly views, you can see parts of old path every few meters. It does the trick – highly recommended!

Ronda – Puente Nuevo

Do czasu! Obejrzeliśmy go z każdej możliwej strony. Pozostało nam tylko wejść do środka no i polatać nad nim – następnym razem 🙂

My friend heard somewhere that Ronda is pretty so we went to have a look at what the fuss was about. We arrived, logged into the accommodation and started wandering around. Nice town indeed, let’s call it “typical” but nothing too special. Until the bridge appeared from around the corner. I spent a moment to collect my jaw. It is truly flabbergasting! We explored it from every available angle. What is left for us to do is entering the structure and flying above it – next time 🙂

Zdrowaśki,

Folkestone

I like to go to the seaside. It always gives me a chance to put the “lens’s sunglasses” onto the camera and play a bit with the long exposure 🙂

This is a bit of Folkestone, a reminder of past glory of British sea towns. Apparently the glory is coming back, but well, does not seem to be reaching this place yet… That is why it is worth a visit 🙂 It would be actually quite nice, if not for this gigantic, obnoxious, ferry-like hotel which covers half the view of the sea but also half the view of the town, if looked at from the sea.

Hopefully, however doubtfully, the returning glory will do something about it.

Zdrowaśki,

Tunel

Oto moje trzecie podejście do astrofotografi. Do następnych będę troszkę lepiej przygotowany. Trzeba będzie sie z miasta wyprowadzić 😛

This is my third approach to astrophotography. First one was a complete, ill-considered catastrophe while the second one did not work due to unpredicted (albeit predictable) technical issues. I will be a bit better prepared for future ones. Gotta move out from the city though 😛

Bourton-on-The-Water

Bourton-On -The-Water is a nice little village in the Cotswolds. There is peculiar place in this village – a model of if, 9 times smaller. And the funny things is, that in the model, there is another model, in which you can see another one. It is easy to imagine where in theory this is going to ( ∞ ).

Anyway, it was to feel like a giant walking around houses smaller than yourself 🙂

Enjoy,

London from above

Hello,

We have recently visited Sky Garden. It is on a top of a new building nicknamed Walkie Talkie. Some of you might heard about it, as it was voted the ugliest building in UK in the year of its construction. I disagree, but that is beside the point. What is not, is the view from the top. It is quite impressive, especially when looking south (it might be because the open terrace faces this direction). Anyway, I enjoyed a lot and felt angry at myself for not bringing the tripod and long exposure filter. Well, maybe next time. Enjoy 🙂

Massaciuccoli

Hello,

I know it was a bit quiet here last few months but hopefully I will manage to improve it over the summer. Let’s start with my recent experiment. We went to a beautiful natural reserve in Italy. Although I figured that the weather was not perfect, I have decided to take some long exposure pictures. I must confess, a tiny little bit of editing was applied. Seemingly boring gray sky might become much more interesting with slight tone adjustment. Enjoy.

Scaffolding

I went to that spot because I was there before and I knew it could offer a nice shot of Tower Bridge. The scaffolding took me by surprise though. My first thought was “damn it!” but after a second I figured this might be quite unique. The fact that the scaffolding is not there anymore and these pictures cannot be taken again is kind of a pleasant thought.

Whitstable

I have always enjoyed playing with long exposure. Unfortunately, in order to work, it requires the camera to see very little light. It means that you could play either at night or in dimmed chambers. Luckily humanity, in all it’s inventiveness, has developed sunglasses for cameras as well 🙂
